Other Details to Note

Take advantage of the charcoal grill on the patio, perfect for outdoor cooking. Just bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. The cabin is located in the hills of Chalet Village just above Gatlinburg. This area is known for its wildlife especially black bears. Please do not approach the wildlife and keep car doors and windows closed and locked. The drive to the cabin is on paved roads, with the last 0.5 miles on a narrow road up the hill, suitable for drivers familiar with mountainous roads. The cabin is treated for pests monthly and thoroughly cleaned between guests, but occasional dead bugs may be found. Using the Guest Access Pass you can access 3 community club houses with pools, tennis and pickleball courts, exercise equipment and more. Failure to return the pass will result in $50 fee to have it replaced. Enjoy the ultimate outdoor experience!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and exceeded all our expectations. The pool table in the living room was a perfect centerpiece for family fun and quality time. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Also had daily visits from bears. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

Mike was an amazing host. Sending an item needed within hours. Also giving recommendations for local activities. The house was great. Definitely steep roads, but that is common in the area. No issues with navigating in the summer.

We had a peaceful and memorable stay! The house is located in a quiet mountain neighborhood and had everything we needed, so there was no need to contact the host. One of the most exciting parts of our stay was watching wildlife—especially a mother black bear and her three cubs who strolled across our parking lot and the street. We knowingly left a pizza outside on our deck, hoping they’d come by. In the morning, one of them did—and we got to watch and record the moment from inside the house. It was such a fun and unique experience! The steep roads added to the adventure, and our kids really enjoyed the swimming pool nearby (less than 3 miles away). Highly recommended for nature lovers and families!

Mikes house was perfect for our large group,6 adults & 4 kids(2-8). Kids absolutely loved their room & the layout worked great for us. Mikes quick responses resolved small issues & made things easy. Everyone had an amazing time & the several bear encounters will always remind us of our “Smoky Mountain” vacation!

This home was clean and had easy access to all the places we wanted to visit, including Anakeesta, Ober Mountain, downtown, and the national park, which offers several hiking and motor trails. We even saw five different bears near the house, which was amazing! The arcade games were a hit with the kids, they loved the bunk room. Mike was a great host.If you ride the tram at ober mountain, be sure to try and spot the house! The clubhouses were great, and our favorite was the North Clubhouse because it has the most beautiful view. I do have a couple of suggestions: if you're particular about bath towels, it's a good idea to bring your own, and don't forget to bring a pool towel. We had a family of eight staying, and there was plenty of room and comfort for everyone. We stayed for four nights and did need to pick up additional trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

We had a great stay at Mikes Airbnb. We were in a private area but also so close to downtown Gatlinburg. It fit me and my family perfectly. The hot tub was perfect to use after a long day exploring the town.

Lovely home, clean, well-appointed- my daughter wanted to live there permanently "wow... is this place for sale?" We chose the location for easy access to the park, but also enjoyed downtown and proximity to Pigeon Forge. The home was a bright cheerful place to wake up and start our day, and then return for a restful night after a day of adventure. (Very comfortable bed with fresh nice linens- you really felt like a guest in an upscale home, furnished with more than just the basics!) Just what we were looking for- thank you, Mike!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was super clean and had many fantastic features- a private hot tub, deck, our own pool table, two arcade games, multiple coffee makers, laundry in the home, and it is beautifully decorated! It is a 5 minute drive down the mountain to get to town and 8 minutes to get to the national park. I loved having coffee out on the deck looking at the Smokies. We even saw a few bears while there! Mike, the host, was very responsive and easy to work with. We’re so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel in town. It provided a great relaxation and hangout space. Thank you for a great trip!!

Family and I had a great time! It was my family of 6 and we felt that there were more than enough room for us to be comfortable, to relax and feel at home! The house was very clean and put together when we arrived! My family felt safe and there was plenty of things for the kids to do at the house. Mike responded quick everytime I reached out to him for questions. He checked on us when we arrived and when we left. Thanks again Mike.
